Landmarks: Spinning into New Year by Rachel Randle

Spinning into New Year by Rachel Randle

  Comments by Judges:

The detail is amazing, especially the reflection of the London Eye in the water. I also love the fireworks around it, which really bring the painting to life and make it instantly recognisable as London

 Has a mandala like effect.

 Vivacious and fun!

Transportation: Bus Reflections by Emily Mansfield

 Comments by Judges:

Incredibly skilled pencil detail and the viewer feels a sense of about to set  off on a journey down the bus route too. Full of interest.

Love the detail in the bus and the way she’s used the green throughout the drawing, it makes the whole scene feel really lively. I also like how she’s captured an everyday part of London in such a creative way.

For its amazing level of attention to detail

Fantastic Beasts: Griffin by Simon Williams

 Comments by Judges:

Very strong in descriptive line and imagined anatomical detail.

Gripping sense of strength and intent
